Christian World Service is a founding member of ACT Alliance (Action by Churches Together). ACT Alliance is a coalition of 143 churches and church-related organisations working together in over 100 countries to create positive and sustainable change in the lives of poor and marginalised people regardless of their religion, politics, gender, sexual orientation, race or nationality in keeping with the highest international codes and standards.

Christian World Service is a founding member of the Council for International Development (CID), the national umbrella agency of international development organisations based in Aotearoa New Zealand. CID exists to support effective high quality aid and development programmes, with the vision of achieving a sustainable world free from poverty and injustice.
