Have you got any musical talent?  9 year old Christchurch school girl, Caitlin, raised over $500 busking with her recorder at a local supermarket. She donated this money for work with young people in Timor Leste.


Get fit and have fun! CWS fun runs have raised hundreds of dollars for Timor Leste, Zimbabwe and Darfur. Maybe your local running group could organise a course. Play


A Wellington church kids group hit on a great idea... hosting a games day with the parish adults. People paid to play board games with the children – and enjoyed it! Along with crafts, lemonade stall and a raffle, it helped the children raise $540.


Fionnaigh challenged herself and raised $1477 for CEPAD, CWS's partner in Nicaragua, by collecting sponsorship to complete the 2.8km Auckland Harbour crossing. Read more>>


Wellington supporter, Jenny, has been using her preserving skills to help CWS partners.  For years she has made marmalades and fruit jellies to sell to at church and in the neighbourhood.  “It is really great to feel that by donating my time and skill I can give sums that I couldn't afford out of my income,” she says.


The Epsom Community Presbyterian Church in Auckland were so moved by the crisis in Darfur that they held a concert and raised $1500 for relief efforts. Local talent on stage included a Chinese Opera singer, Sudanese dancers, South Korean pianists, singers and skit actors. Read more>>


Bold parishioners of St Marks and St Annes in Christchurch had a fun and challenging night to raise money for the CWS Zimbabwe Emergency Appeal. They held an indoor climbing night at ClipNclimb. The fundraising programme involves selling 100 tickets at $10 each for a three-hour session.  Half the proceeds go to charity.
