“Planting medicinal plants in our villages is important so that we can look after people and they can be healthy.”
The CWS Christmas Appeal has been a tradition in New Zealand churches since 1945 when the first Christmas Bowl appeal was launched to raise funds for post war reconstruction in Europe. Over 60 years later, parishes from different denominations along with individuals outside the church continue to come together each Advent to raise funds for development projects and emergency relief around the world.
Thank you to everyone who supported the 2008 Keep Hope Alive CWS Christmas Appeal.
In 2009 the focus is Give us a Chance. Further information and resources will be available in September. The appeal is launched on Advent Sunday.
