Fair Trade Fortnight 2010

Fair Trade Fortnight 2010: 1 - 16 May

Join thousands of New Zealanders making The Big Swap to Fairtrade from 1 - 16 May as part of Fair Trade Fortnight.  CWS is working other groups to put the focus on the farmers and producers that provide us with coffee, tea, chocolate and other products that we use every day.

The fair trade market is growing fast as more people realise that paying just a little more at the store, helps farmers and their families stay out of poverty. With a guaranteed fair price they can afford food, education and health care.  The Fair Trade Association reports that retail sales of Fairtrade Certified and Labelled products in Australia and New Zealand grew by over 50% in 2009 to just over NZ$64 million. Thanks for your support!
