Fair Trade Fortnight 2010: events around the country

Come to A Fair Cuppa at a church near you after Sunday's service.  Over 200 churches will be hosting A Fair Cuppa during the Fortnight.  More than 60 churches have become Fair Trade Churches, always serving Fair Trade refreshments.

  • Monday 3 May – Hear the fair trade pioneer, Meera Bhatterai, talk about her amazing work in Nepal over the past 25 years. Driven by the hopes and dreams of her fellow women, Meera started the Association for Craft Producers (ACP) at the age of just 30. From its humble beginnings, ACP has grown to over 1,200 artisans and 60 full-time staff members, exporting to more than 18 countries throughout the world. To be held at the Academy Cinema at 50 Dundas Street from 5.10pm to 6.00pm and repeated from 6.40pm to 7.30pm, with free fair trade coffee, chocolate and refreshments in between.
