Paula is a feisty advocate for the people of West Papua.  She formerly worked with the respected West Papuan human rights group, Elsham and is now working in Australia with the Institute for Papuan Advocacy and Human Rights.  She was named as one of the “1000 women for peace” nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006.  Currently living in exile in Australia, she keeps in close contact with Papuans working to settle their longstanding grievances with Indonesia in their efforts to create a Land of Peace.
