Youth

CWS's youth programme aims to educate young people about global issues and to equip them to take action about injustice in the world.

CWS produces resources for children and young people (World Watch and Youth Topics) and runs an annual youth fundraiser (Wipe Out Poverty Week).

Wipe Out Poverty:

Our annual fundraiser for young people.
Choose a week that suits your group during the month of September OR organise your event anytime throughout the year.

Wipe out Poverty week started with traditional clean ups and car washes. Currently there are many more activities taking place around the country including a fashion parade, making and selling food from the country you are raising money for and serving meals for your church family. CWS offers ideas on joining in at home or at school, running an all night event, selling fair trade goods from Trade Aid – all to help communities around the world working to end poverty and injustice.
